Civilization : Beyond Earth was my biggest let-down, it really is a re-skinned vanilla version of Civ 5 whatever the apologists say. To be fair the disappointment was slightly tempered by the fact that they'll probably fix it with a huge expansion or two, but I've gone back to Civ for now.
EDIT : I know I keep banging on about this but I'm also super annoyed about the busted co-op on Far Cry 4, a situation that has not been helped by Ubisofts laughable approximation of "customer service."
This is the fixture that gave us the sentence "One Newcastle fan was seen to punch a police horse." Which is perhaps my favourite arrangement of words in the history of the English language.
The first Assassins Creed. It was jaw-droppingly good looking, but the sense of wonder was soon replaced by a sense of utter, utter boredom. The trio of Ezio games that came after it were genuinely excellent though.
That is mind boggling. So glad I didn't buy in to this Destiny nonsense, even the people who say they love it almost seem more desperate to convince themselves it's good more than anything else.
