@cozmicaztaway: Oh they definitely were good at both those things, yes. But from my understanding they were always willing to lease out GGPO as an online match solution but were rarely taken up on it. Which is a shame.
Japanese companies have a notorious desire to keep all their inventions and technology "inside" their company. There's a cute name for it but I forget atm. It's one of the reason it's been so hard in the FGC to get Rollback netcode in fighting games. They had really good RB back in the Ps3 era (GGPO in the old SF3 re-release) but its only been within the last year that games have started to FINALLY use it. In that time, there were Japanese game companies that have tried to invent their OWN rollback netcode and most of the time they failed. Tekken 7 has been a recent example of "functional but not as good as normal RB" online matchmaking. It stems from those companies wanting to take control of every aspect of their product and very rarely license out tech.
@chiefbeef123: Honestly, I wonder how many more compilation demos they have? certainly a few, but I know i've seen the VAST majority of the demo discs I was personally familiar with.
