If I were ever to drop significantly more cash on a game to get the special edition, Reach would be it. The statue of Noble looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, I can't balance 'pretty cool' with 'cost equal to two and a half new release games'.

Also, being unemployed makes this decision much, much easier. :-(

My tendency is to leave the longer games until last. I like to try new things relatively often, so if I have a few to choose from, and I'm equally excited about them, I'll go with the shortest game. Play through it, move on to the next. More variety over a quick amount of time. And when I get to the end, I can just waste time if I want (Red Faction, I'm looking at you). Looking at your list, I'd probably go with either Silent Hill, or Killzone/Resistance 2. Plus, if you end up not liking Silent Hill, then you can just move on to something better, as opposed to coming down to it being your last game, and you hate it. That's an abrupt end to a streak of awesome gaming.

To be honest, I was also a little confused by the whole 'Post Blog to Forum' thing. I didn't really have the desire to do so, but I didn't really notice any other option. I've been fortunate enough not to get any angry/rude comments, and everyone's been really helpful so far. You live and learn, and it's nice not getting chewed out for what was an honest mistake. From the looks of it, the mods are pretty dedicated to keeping GB an awesome community to be a part of, and that's pretty special (in my experience, anyway). Thanks, MB!

@habster3: Thanks. As suggested, I've given the rules and regs a once over. This whole post is something of an accident. I wasn't entirely familiar with the blogging feature here on GB. I got a little overzealous, not realizing that the whole 'Post to Forums' thing wasn't necessary. I didn't realize that the blog entry would remain whether I did the extra post thing or not. Believe me, I don't think so much of myself as to imagine I deserve an entire forum topic dedicated to me, haha. Honest mistake (which won't be repeated). And thanks for the welcome.

@sam_i_am: Indeed it is. It's what I used for my Gamertag. I figured fellow Firefly aficionados would recognize it. And for those that don't, well, serenity is something we should all shoot for in our lives, right?

But mostly Firefly. :-D

While I've been listening to the Bombcast for quite awhile, I haven't really done much in the way of interacting with the Giant Bomb community. Slowly but surely, I'm familiarizing myself with the various features of the site, and hope to be up and running in the very near future. In the interest of full disclosure, I am rather sure the blog won't see much use, but I wanted to do this first one in order to complete the quest. In the meantime, if anything new and/or exciting happens that just needs to be shared, I may be back.
