I debated between this and Minecraft for almost a full hour before finally picking ME2. The deciding factor was that Minecraft is only as awesome as you can make it, while ME2 is completely awesome all on its own.

The wonderful thing about Minecraft is that it is as awesome as you can make it…and I can make it pretty awesome. It's not for everyone, but if you have a single creative bone in your body, you owe it to yourself to check out minecraft.net.
For those of you who may point out that it's not released yet, or was released last year: the Beta was released December 2010! That has to count for something...

Just…download the demo already. Then you can see for yourself why I spent 19 hours on my first match in a single 36-hour period (I'd be more precise if I could remember; it's kind of a blur).

While it's true that there are serious flaws with this game, as you've no doubt heard from various sources, this game stands out as being the best espionage RPG ever made. It's just a shame Obsidian won't be given the chance to build upon and perfect the systems and storylines introduced here.

A few bugs and a relatively short storyline keep Awakening from reaching higher on my list, but for those of us who hunger for anything and everything that was written by the masters at BioWare, this expansion is your fantasy-themed fix to tide you over till 2011
