I'm probably most guilty of doing this with fighting games, mostly because I got them on a whole bunch of different consoles when fighting games didn't really get PC releases, then later got on them on PC when it became more common for those ports to happen. Have done it with Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, King Of Fighters etc

I've bought Bayonetta on 3 different platforms, because I initially got the PS3 version, which is a terrible port and clearly the game deserved better than to be experienced that way, so I basically just set it aside until I got the Wii U version, then I got the PC port when that came out. I'm sure I'll end up with the Switch version at some stage. Turns out I like Bayonetta 1 quite a lot.

Not really a huge fan of look of the characters in Bravely Default, but I do think it makes sense considering both the power of the 3ds as well as the screen size and resolution. I think in that context, it makes a lot of sense to have the character's heads be proportionally fairly massive, so that more pixels are used to resolve the characters' faces, simple as they may be in this case. For example, consider how the characters in Final Fantasy XI read at 320x240 on a CRT compared to the characters in Final Fantasy VIII.

Anyway, I guess the style is just kind of locked in at this point. Having said that, the Switch game could definitely have kept the proportions and done something better or more interesting. Could be worse, I suppose. They could look like Funko Pops.

I play on PC most of the time, so I don't really use them as often as some, but I think they're about as good as it gets on a gamepad for quickly selecting from more than four options. I also don't really have a problem with games that don't slow down when you bring up the wheel, unless it's something like Ratchet and Clank and you've literally got two or three completely full wheels of stuff to worry about. If you've only got a single wheel, it's a really good way for being able to pick stuff quickly and so I've got no problem with a game incentivising picking stuff quickly.

Number keys are my go-to preferred method overall, but honestly, I even kind of liked using the mouse for the radial menu for selecting the suit powers in the original Crysis. With a bit of practice, it became a surprisingly useful method for switching quickly between modes to combo the effects.

I’m not sure why anyone is surprised this happened. The right saw that the left got what they want through rioting, so they gave it a shot for themselves. It’s just going to keep escalating on both sides.

This is so bad it actually made my scalp tingle and will probably be the catalyst for this thread getting locked.

I wonder if EA will be able to bury Codies quicker than most of their other acquisitions, since this one already comes with the Dirt.
