@slag: I think Monster Hunter World might be alright. I wasn't super big into the previous iterations, but World makes me wanna give the series another chance, so I'm jumping in on it as well.

I did have some deliberations on changing the list up a bit.

For instance I thought about adding Project Octopath Traveller to the list, since the demo was awesome, but I didn't want it to be just RPGs. You also got The Last Night, which certainly looks pretty, but I gotta see more of it to form an opinion. Then there is Metroid Prime 4 and when you consider what Nintendo did to reinvigorate Zelda and Mario, I cannot wait to see what they do with it.

In general I think 2018 will have a lot of games that hasn't been announced yet that will come out and be awesome and that is the part I'm really looking forward to.

I was looking forward to this game a lot and kinda taken aback by the loot box debacle, but then I played it and YOU CAN PLAY AS LANDO IN THE CAMPAIGN! ALL IS FORGIVEN! I LOVE YOU STAR WARS, EA AND WALT DISNEY! STAR WAAARS!

In regards to the Skyrim talk, I think the VR version might be something I'd be more interested in.

It really speaks to the inherent nature of memes that Meme Run feels so dated now. If you want to get fresher, you gotta go with something like this, and this isn't even that fresh anymore.

Also, this was my exact fear of going back to WWII: Boredom. I've played all those other games and like Jeff I'm not really interested in the same dull story with prettier graphics. I loved the direction that Call of Duty had been taking over the last few years, with Infinite Warfare feeling kinda like a Wing Commander game in a lot of ways, with it's whole space navy thing. I hope all the voices that cried out for this return to the roots have been satiated and we will get a good one of these next year, with an original story in an original setting.
