i look around, and i see people. people playing games.

sometimes i wish i had a job. or some source of income. i don't have anything to sell. i don't want to do chores. i don't want to go work somewhere part-time on weekends. i don't want to twirl signs half-heartedly on street corners, knowing that nobody is actually going to read my sign and go check out the new housing developments down the road or whatever.
i just need money. Rock Band 2 looks SWEET.

... oh well. if i ever get this homework off my back, i'll start playing Spore, and then all will be right with the world.

You do not seem to need fractional, or otherwise monetary currency or credits in the short term. Instead, you "need" for your wants and psychological cravings. I suppose this initializes a more stringent form of semi-delayed gratification, and it is still rather superior to the alternatives which could have been made manifest during the present period.

I'm not playing games, Rock Band 1 for PS2 is shit, still haven't recovered from FFX enough to try another playthrough, would replay Final Fantasy 8 but the discs are scratched heavily and must buy new discs to play it ever again, and Rock Band 2 indeed looks sweet.

For now, it's homework and now I'm reading a new book (finished Twisted and thought it was pretty good). So...

Must stockpile my allowance for fun stuff.

I so wish I was at an age where I could have a steady income instead of depending upon my parents. I too want Rock Band 2... :(
