@Claude: In my defense, there's nothing in the Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, or ODST forums. There's a thread on the Halo 3 forum, but my post doesn't repeat what's been said there.
If you visit the game pages for any of the Halo games, you'll notice that the colors and layout are different than other game pages. They're blue (like this forum), have the usual left-bar stuff at the top, but lack a "Top Editors" section. I find this kind of odd and inconvenient. If the Halo skin is user generated, could someone tell me how to skin other pages, and how to submit changes to the Halo pages? If, as seems more likely, it's part of the ongoing ODST ad campaign, why mess with the format of the page?
@jakob187: The contest is cool, but that skin is BS. As you say, there's no "Top Editors" section, and the rest of the stuff that's normally on the left is missing too.
It sounds like it'll be stand alone. Personally, I'd rather just have an expansion. Coming out less that a year after Empire, I have to expect that it'll be Empire with new units and maps. That's fine, but asking full retail price might be bit much.
Arcades have declined for a reason. Events like California Extreme seem like a better way enjoy arcade games in this day and age. Maybe Stride should get behind something like that.
