Yep, it's really good. Like, really really good. I would definitely buy another.

I also hear great things about Dell and Sony, but Sony is goddamn expensive."
Yeah exactly, but I'll stick with Samsung for now. They never dissapointed me in monitors, their price/performance seemed to be the best with the SyncMaster series!

That's a decent machine, is it factory made or is it your own customization? Since it says Dell I'd think the first.

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Video Card: ATI Radeon X300
Hard Drive: SATA, Approx 250GB
Memory: 3GB DDR
OS: Vista Ultimate 64 bit (also have XP home and Kubuntu installed)

Not exactly the most powerful hardware, but it still plugs away. Most modern games run fine if I tone down the settings, and graphics aren't that important to me. I'd like to build my own PC at some point, but money is an issue.

"
I think for most of us money is an issue, while 99% are still students they spent their money on others things. And buying a superior gaming machine out of the blue, hits hard in your wallet.

  • Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 2.4Ghz running at 3.2Ghz
  • 2 gigs of Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066Mhz
  • Asus Geforce 8800GTS 512 EN
  • Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
  • iiyama 22" monitor
  • Two SATA 2 Hard Drives, each 500 gig (Western Digital)
  • Vista Home Premium 32 bit (thinking of switching to 64)
"
Nice system, but I think the processor can be clocked higher due to 1066MHz of memory. :)

I've always considered it on PC, just because your aim is faster and stuff like that. As for the multiplayer, will XBOX users be able to fight PC users? Or wasn't that the new CoD that has that feature? :)

Remember these are the minimum system requirements! I think the recommended system requirements will be a lot more system hoggier.. ;)

Quote from Fudzilla:

Launching in Q4 2008

Treyarch revealed the minimum system requirements for playing Call of Duty: World at War, and we can’t say this game is too demanding. However, minimum system requirements mean exactly that – minimum, so don’t expect wonders.

The game is scheduled for a Q4 2008 launch, and here’s what you’ll need to play:

  • CPU: .AMD 64 3200+ / Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz +
  • Memory: 512MB (XP) or 1GB (Vista)
  • HD Space: 8GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia 6600GT/ATI Radeon 1600XT or higher (Shader 3.0 or better) with 256MB memory

"Those are pretty low specs, my laptop could run it if I had the HD space."
The specifications aren't that high, although Crysis has the same specifications while it was a damn heavy system hog. Haha, how come you don't have the disk space, I mean what does a GB cost these days? ;)

"I would meet them if it didn't require DirectX 9.0c

But by the time it comes out I'll have a new laptop, so PC"
If you're buying a new one I'd definitely go for DirectX 10 or eventually DirectX 10.1 support in combination with Windows Vista. That should do the job as well! ;)

DLC stands for Downloadable Content. Exclusive content is confirmed for Xbox 360.
Remains to be seen if the content becomes available for PC in some sort of fashion."
Alright, thank you for the explanation. As for the extra content for PC, somehow I'm 100% sure there will be downloadable content. I mean, why would they exclude the PC version from any downloadable content? That doesn't really convince people to get the PC version.

PC version is gonna be epic"
Let's hope so, if it's not a straight port with a lot of bugs. I know it won't be, but still.. :)

"Yeah, although the first game was amazing, it was severely lacking in pretty much every aspect. Basic weapons, cover system that worked well only "most" of the time, short campaign, and a story worthy of a turd trophy (although it didn't bother me much). The sequel is just everything better!

BTW, I remembered some stuff to add to the list."
It was definitely amazing, but saying it lacked in pretty much every aspect.. I don't know about that. Gears of War 2 seems like a big update, as in a small add-on promising more features. I think it's a matter of time, is it not?
