I'm old. These are the games that taught me everything. While this is somewhat an ordered list, all of these games left a lasting impression. I had a traumatic childhood and Video Games helped me through many tough times. Some Video Games also helped me communicate and socialize.
I'm missing a few, but my memory is not what it used to be.

Quarter circle forward + Punch
The puzzle game of puzzle games.
This and Super Contra were the first games we had on SNES.
The first game I ever beta tested and modded. I would edit texture skins of characters.
The Wizard. "CALIFORNIA!!!"
It baffled my mind that there were 100 levels and you could fail by not saving the two girl dinos.
The Square/Nintendo game we never asked for, but deserve.

The first MMORPG I invested hours in. This was the first game I really bonded with people I met over the Internet. When I was working at Future Shop (Canadian store equivalent to Best Buy), I helped a customer and convinced him to buy this game. A couple of years later, he told me that he met his wife while playing this game. While my role was small in his story, it was the first time I felt like I truly helped someone. This game also reminded me that it was the journey, not the endgame that mattered the most. Tarutaru for life.

Admiral Thrawn and I were pals. The missions throughout this game were so difficult.

The second MMROPG I invested hours in. I remember the failed launch of this game, but SquareEnix brought in a team that were passionate and I respect them for keeping this FFXIV alive. Lalafell for life.
I currently get my MMO fix with this game.
"Dearly Beloved" is one of the best songs on any Game Soundtrack.

We bought the LucasArts bundle that had all of the classic point and click games (Indiana Jones, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle). The humor in the game was too good.
My choice for an alternative party game to Bomberman. One of the only reason I owned a knock-off PS1 Multitap.

My trip to Philippines mid 90's opened my eyes to Tekken. I was taught Paul and King by these kids in my Mother's hometown.

A Co-op Cover shooter in the Arcade was such a blast. A classmate and I would practically memorize the game to maximize our gaming with just 2 dollars. Plus having your own screen was awesome.
