Those are some silly pandering statements. To me the difference between 30fps and 60fps is significant. It literally feels like a stutter-y mess, ofcourse I won't boycott a game for being locked in 30 and usually motion blur makes it somewhat tolerable. I wasn't always like this, until I started gaming on 60fps I didn't feel 30fps was that bad, but as an enthusiast gamer framerate matters a lot to me. Nowadays if my hardware is only capable of running a said game at 30fps, I usually put off the game till I get a hardware capable of that 60 or see if I can get it to above 40 sometimes by lowering the resolution even considerably.
It is something I grew to perceive, just like my irritation towards flickering shadows, pop-in, bugs etc..
Even on consoles I rather have 60fps than high fidelity graphics. Atleast for the exclusives as they will never be ported to another system, or are you all fine with waiting for PS5 to play PS4 games at 60fps just like this generation!
What you wrote was pretty irritating read. As Insectecutor said, it reads like all the effort we put to achieve framerate and resolution is just so we can show off in front of other people. No. We do it for us, and when we hear incorrect statements we refute them and if that feels like we are attacking you, you need to grow up.
