I really wanna vote for Nocturne here, but I have put in hundreds of hours into Persona 3, so technically speaking that would be my favorite?

Anyway, this list reminds me of just how many SMT games I still need to play; I wish I had gotten into this series earlier. I'm currently playing the Persona 1 remake on PSP right now, and I'm enjoying that well enough (that battle theme though.. did they really think a <1 minute loop was a good idea? That song will be stuck in my head for the next millennium). It also stands out to me as the only PSP game I've played that counts 'sleep mode' time as total game time. What's up with that?

If one of his moves lets him fly around in his airplane/spaceship, then DAY FUCKING ONE

Other than that, I dunno. Is this even gonna get localized?

Did American Toonami ever air G Gundam? 'Cause if they didn't, they need to get that.

(Oh, and fix the translation errors.)

Hell no, man. That's like taking the "You spoony bard!" out of FFIV. Why would you take away half of the game's character like that?

Yo, Square Enix: Screw VII, where's my handheld remake of V?

I remember when arcades here used to have fighting games. ..And then I got interested in the genre, and they all fucking disappeared. There's like, one SFIV machine in all of Brisbane now.

Makes me sad.

Akihiko, hopefully. It'll probably be Yu instead, though.

I always want to play "boxer" types, but usually have a hell of a time actually getting in to do damage.

Having their mouths move when they talk is fine (it's giving me BlazBlue nostalgia) - as long as they stay the hell away from that 'idle animation' stuff that Record of Agarest War: Zero had.

..Which it looks like they aren't doing, so I'm bringing this up for no reason.

So yeah, Atlus decided to release these two trailers at once, for some reason.. But hey, more is better, right?

This is the one with the "dark" theme:

And this is the other one.. with a "pop" theme?:

Anyway, most of it is stuff you've all already seen; but there are two things that stand out to me in these videos:

  • Teddie with a reindeer outfit (what)
  • Alright, here's the biggest news. Yu Charlie can get a Dojima costume. No, seriously. There's a glimpse at around 1:24 in the first video.

Also, I laughed at the Protagonist's name being just "HERO" in the second trailer.

If this game somehow changes Jeff's opinions on airdash fighters, I'll be honestly shocked. If he ends up reviewing it, the score will be however good the story is minus a point for not being SF/MK.

That's not entirely fair. He mainly likes SF and MK, but he seems to think fairly highly of older SNK stuff, and some of the older King of Fighters. At least enough that he genuinely enjoys playing as Terry Bogard, which is more than can be said for any other recent fighting game series.

Fair enough, add 'Old SNK' to the end of my other statement. What did Jeff think of KOF XIII? If he talked about it at some stage I must have missed it.
