I've spent a lot of time on GAF on the Gaming side, didn't even know about the allegations against Evilore (or Amirox) and in general don't really care for all the drama. I just want all my gaming news and threads in an easily accesible way and that was NeoGAF for years.

The strange thing is that aside from GAF the only other gaming media I consumed was Giantbomb but never really visited these forums.

Borderlands is a blast to play with a friend (or 3) online. If you are into shooters you can't go wrong with this one. 
 
And it will take you a while to both reach level 50 so great value for monies.
