I didn't expect that so many people apparently missed on the hints with the body and the monkey. I kept waiting for that shit to pay off the whole game, so that scene was nothing surprising.
I must've missed the segment in a podcast where they decided not to include unreleased games in the considerations, but I'm surprised that they didn't change their ways. World has changed, they should change with it. Sticking to only released games is weird when some games may never reach that point. Or when they reach that point, they've already passed from the zeitgeist and memory and thus will never get the accolades they deserve.
I don't get why they get this wrong so often. Like they could license a story, or even vaguely base a game on one and it would be awesome. Also, if the handling was more realistic(challenging) this could stand more on its own. Like if someone made a challenging street racing game based roughly on Initial D it would be totally awesome, and everyone would get it (literally too).
Man...I'd play the shit out of Initial D game with modern graphics. Give me a Hachiroku and set me free on the touge.
So much great content coming from GBeast. All of these people work so damn well together. This was a great stream!
For real. GB's entertainment value has always come from good group chemistry for me. Back when we had Jeff, Ryan, Vinny and Brad all together doing videos and a podcast, it was the golden age of Giant Bomb. I loved having Austin at GBeast as well, but especially now, with Vinny, Alex, Abby and Dan doing shows (+Bakalar in the podcast), I feel like its the second golden age.
