The first Stanley Parable rubbed me the wrong way; all that quirky fourth wall-breaking humor just came off as annoyingly smug to me. The playful and literate qualities of SP obviously deserve some in-depth critical discussion, though, and I enjoyed this video a lot more than the game itself.
I'm usually as grumpy and jaded as they come, but this is a bit over the top even for me. This game looks nice (and, having just played the early sections being shown in this video, plays just fine too).
I rarely post anything, but this is such awesome news. What with all the changes and new shows on the site lately, it might be difficult to pin down just what Giant Bomb's identity is these days. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but everything Voidburger has contributed to the site so far reminds me of why I keep returning to GB every week.
Danny and Tamoor are great and the editing is perfect. Souls games have been done to death on the Internet already, though, so I would have preferred something a bit more original for a premium show.
