If the prospect of "pay 500 bucks to play current gen games for 5 to 7 years with the guarantee that they will run reasonably well" needs any further explanation then I do not know what to tell you. The bang-for-your-buck factor of consoles (especially for people who have no other work related needs for a powerfull pc) makes them an instantly attractive investment for people. It certainly was/is for me at least.

Both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 are completely out of stock in Germany as well. I have been checking somewhat regulary other the last two months and it has been impossible to buy either console from the major tech retailers.

I absolutely love non non biyori as well. It's a wonderfully cozy show and I was very glad to see that the newest episode had the same relaxed tone as the other seasons. Also Ren-Chon is the best.

As a German it is somehow really comforting to see that someone at the Deutsche Welle production office found the most qualified video games expert available to comment on this CDPR debacle. I hope that guy/gal gets a raise.

Oh well... even though I'm german and it pains me to say it: The german team really did not deserve to come any further in this tournament than it did.
I hope they get their shit together till the European Championship in 2020.

Said it before and I will say it again. I believe this game is just above some peoples heads.

To quote Pod 153: This comment is pretty much a constant stream of embarrassment.

I just started my first playthrough of Nier about a week ago and initially felt the same way as you do now. The game really klicked for me once I unlocked the ability to fast travel, which is about halfway through the first playthrough. It speeds up the game dramatically and in my opinion makes for a far better experience.

As far as I know, you will also unlock the ability to replay chapters of the game so that you can finish sidequests you might have previously missed. You can just focus on the main story missions for now and just do some of the more boring sidemissions later if you feel like it.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt though because I have yet to finish the game's main endings except for ending A and can not tell you if the game takes a turn for the worse later on.

What @kiwikuku said. Prince of Persia (2008) is a forgotten gem.

@flatblack: I couldn't tell you. I have never enjoyed anything in my entire life.
