TDU was very good sure it had some flaws. But it was a great open world game and was vary ambitious. TDU2 will clearly be better and with the Cryengine 3 running it with full everything. Yeah it's going to be Silly good. Honeslty with games like this sim racerstruly are last gen.
This is not about sales nor weather GT will be good. I'm saying it will feel dated just becuase of the fact that everything is so online and open world now.
I and many others want the online and community open world games now build and create your own type stuff. Strait sim games like GT are long in the tooth for sure.
" It probably will be. And then it'll sell some 5 million copies by the year's end, so absolutely no one will care by that point. The gearheads have their game, Sony has its money, everyone is happy...hopefully. "
GT5 will sell good. But Forza has eaten into a lot of sales. And most moved on from GT after Forza 1-2 And with the 360 user base far more in the US GT will sell good but not like it once did.
And my point is. With games like TDU that was really cool. And with a game like TDU2 that stands to have a chance at being amazing. Sim games are just meh in comparision.
It will have great graphics for sure. But besides that and 1000+ cars with 100 mini coopers and 100 other makes of the same car. It will be so last gen.
Games like Forza already destroy GT games with online functions and upgrades and such. And with a little gem coming out called TDU2 this fall. I can not even be bothered with sim racers anymore. I want open world and huge online car clubs and community and online racer created events. And yup TDU2 with the Cry Engine 3 is going to smoke everything. With full weather effects day and night cycle full open world of course. You can even get out and put your top up when it rains in TDU2. Oh and to go even further foggy days cloudy days sunny days, dusk, dawn, night whatever.
I'm sorry but most hardcore gamers now have broadband. And we want are community and open world and in game everything. TDU2 is going to be off the charts. Games like GT5 with great graphics and 1000's cars just does not cut it with it's confined same tracks and weak online functions anymore.
