@skyshadowing: @cagliostro88: Thank you to both of you for putting me in my place. Now that you mention it i remember something about the moon taking 28 days to complete its cycle, so it would only be logical if each of the 4 stages would have a time associated with it.
And i had all but forgotten that saturday used to be considered the most holy day of the week.
Like so many other things in religion, there are usually ancient precedents that far predate that religions interpretation of the world and how it is shaped.

The reason sunday is considered the last day in the week is because of the old testament, wich states that God created the world in 6 days, and rested on the 7nth. That is the reason we have 7 day weeks, and thats the reason sunday is the last day of the week. So its basically just an old religious habit that we've carried on doing.
