@yi_orange: You get the 30 day thing when you buy the game and the pre-orders came with a 7 day trial. I can send one your way, but it looks like they won't be sent to us until June 3rd.

Sure! If you've got an extra trial kicking around I'd love to give it a shot. I'm always curious when people claim that an MMO has compelling gameplay.

If you liked WoW, you will probably like this. If you didn't like WoW, I doubt this is different enough to grab you.

@english: I don't understand the reference.

Okay, let me put it this way. Do you want to be a member of "Cookie Party!!", or a guild called literally ANYTHING other than "Cookie Party!!"

I'm definitely in to this idea and will have to put deep thought in this, mostly because I'm a huge carebear and have never liked any form of PvP in an MMO. I'm conflicted because while I think the Dominion has awesome designs (and therefore the Dominion GB PVE guild makes sense), they're basically Saturday Morning Cartoon villains.

Don't be an Oreoâ„¢, play in the big leagues.

I think I'll roll my character here. There's another group on the thunderfoot server, but I don't think I can handle the guild name.

Well, I watched some of fanfest, so me resubbing at this point is more or less an eventuality. Got bored last year when we originally made the move to null as not much was happening, but it seems like Kite Co is 'truckin along now (pun intended).

Good plan to send out invites, got me to check the forum here at least. Maybe I'll resub around fanfest, that seems to be when my eve hype reaches maximum levels if last year is any benchmark. Always good to see that KiteCo continues to operate.

Honestly, even if I didn't enjoy the daily dota, I think it is an interesting show to have on Giantbomb simply because it is different from the regular content. Usually video content is restricted to whoever is in the office, and that means the giantbomb guys 99% of the time apart from gaming conventions. The daily dota has a different group of people who are in my opinion, still quite entertaining, along with guests that normally wouldn't appear in traditional giantbomb content. Not to mention, it's a group of guys playing something together cooperatively just for the hell of it -- which is actually a bit rare for the GB team, these days especially.

There's no justification for a 30 FPS lock on PC at least in my mind; if it's related to their technology then they should take the time to fix it rather than release a lazy port. Unfortunately this could mean that when people find a way to unlock the FPS, that the game gets buggy or runs incorrectly because the developers never tested it above 30 FPS. Even if the game somehow pushes current PC hardware to its limits with 30 FPS, in a couple years most PCs will be way above specs but will still be stuck with the same limited 30 FPS experience.

It certainly does not make me feel confident in the quality of this release when I see them making a decision like this.
