@francium34: the satellite thing was what bit me in the ass. i did some scum saving, but the battles were mostly pretty fine, even had a couple of mecs with me. i was about to research the key thing for the base invasion, but the lack of satellite coverage/fighters got a bunch of countries mad.
I restarted, and in my frustration, was just rushing/getting killed/save scumming a lot/getting more frustrated.
i just need a bit more patience. i like srpgs, but stuff like base management and optimizing facilities, researches, it just gets me way too anxious.
This series got me to finally play some Xcom (sitting on the steam blacklog for ages), and man, it's a very frustrating game, even with scum saving, and boy, do i scum and do i save.
about Super Giant games, i thought Bastion was alright, but i really loved Transistor. from the visuals to the gameplay, the ost, the universe, i loved everything about it. about to start Pyre as well, lets see.
and regarding Dan's thoughts on gameplay, after having watched all of beast in the east, and the sundered QL, i don't think they hold much weight when good gameplay for him is just repeating the same thing and expecting the game to accommodate it.
I'd love if you guys finished the story as well, but please, please, please, just one more thing: do the last training with the breakdance guys. Seriously.
@odinsmana: I'm a long time fan of the series, and have played the previous entries before 0, and although 5 did downplayed his craziness a bit, i was still expecting something to "break" Majima. The moment Makoto got shot, i thought he would murder all three lieutenants.
Was disappointed when he didn't even killed the hitman, and even had a bro moment with Awano, a total scumbag.
