Why does he "kick" the summoned NPC?

If your any good with ranged attacks then give it ago, however if i got too far away from it, it seemed as if my soul arrow was going through him and not actually hitting not sure if that was just a glitch or not. (each soul arrow was doing around 64 with an intelligence of 20).

I'm not sure how well a melee focused character would do as hes/it has a jumping down stab move, which looked like it would have killed me in one hit but was very easy to roll out of the way, and a slash move that had very long reach and a wide arc.

EDIT: If i remember correctly you get 1000 souls for killing it and it drops large white titonite(?) or something like that. It also doesn't respawn

This is where i am, did you kill the creature below the black smith? I did by staying away and spamming soul arrows, does anybody know where the path behind it leads?

I picked the master key as my gift, is that the only item that can't be obtained in the game world? As I've heard the Pendant is story related and suggested as the starting item by the games designer.

Bullshit, because I couldn't see him and I have beaten the butterfly. This game seems like it has even more weird mechanics like this than Demon's Souls did.

I'm guessing with the game being as new as it is that alot of things will still need to be varified.
