Seems most people want to blame journalism here. Journalism today is just a product of its audience. It's focused entirely around the stuff WE want to hear, the stuff that used to "sell newspapers." People SEEK OUT stuff like pictures from events like this, we WANT to read about horrific tragedy, and we reward those outlets that give us what we want. In the age of Snooki and Honey Boo Boo you want to blame journalism? Please.
The audience doesn't create the content that appeals to them though.
I lived censorship, I was in Venezuela around the time Hugo Chavez banned violent videogames.
Everyone got mad of course, but if videogames aren't taken seriously in a first world country, then you can begin to imagine how it would be elsewhere.
I think this is good news, to my knowledge the CDC doesn't have any studies in regards to this matter, and if they come up in our favor (as they will if done properly) then we could succesfully leave videogames as a scapegoat behind.
Mercy killing seems to be touching into a very grey area. I am all for assisted suicide under certain instances, though.
A good point, though I like what I saw in that Al Pacino movie about Jack Kevorkian, a group of professionals assesing wether someone was simply depressed or had a willing desire to end his/her life, that's one way this could work.
Terrible that these things have to happen, I think India is one of the most beautiful, amazing cultures that has ever existed on Earth, for their people to still have to suffer through the consequences of arcaic, inmoral prejudices and hateful ideas is nothing short of horrific.
Again...Bioware discounted the indoctrination theory so this whole argument is pointless. I don't really care if you played it or not but that's how it stands. You are looking for a deeper meaning in an ending, better yet in a whole game's story line, that really has none.
Well, that's another problem with this controversy, not with the ending per se.
