I still can't wrap my mind around it but this tutorial was really good at showing the cool charge blade moves in really cool situations.
I wish I could learn it though, that invincible timed knock out counter looks amazing. The idea of a weapon that can knock out a monster with a instance button press jsut by countering their charge just seems so cool.
Tips for Vinny. Just quarter circle forward and back and mash x+y or y+b. Every character is button mash friendly if you just keep doing that. Then randomly kick in a y by itself mid mash or a grab if he gets block heavy.
@brennrambles: It just depends. Are you the type to fuck around like Dan's directions in Hitman or are you the type to follow the instructions of the game. Think of the level where they followed the dude. What if Jason had been on the ceiling the entire time or upside down on the stairs. If you are the type to make your own fun then you will probably enjoy it? Not saying one style of play is better than another, it's just it's not a game for everyone. It's like stardew valley. Some people don't like having a million options and prefer to min/max games.
Jason, the reason the side quests and all those missions you played weren't fun for you but are fun for other people is because you aren't using your gravity powers and are waiting for the game to tell you to use your powers. Just use them ALL THE TIME. Never use the floor. Always walk on ceilings. The reason the camera gives you trouble is because they didn't plan for people to be walking on the normal ground and it needs to be able to be flipped upside down or 90%.
It's like if someone had infinite ammo in DOOM and they were trying to conserve ammo. Remember when you followed that guy? What if you had made the wall the ground and turned it into a platforming section. Or what if you were just standing on the ceiling the entire time. It's why they start with simple tasks.
All that being said it might not be a game for you and that's okay!
@overbite: Someone probably already corrected it but buying back your fighter with kill coins DOES bring them back with all the kill coins and exp they collected. It jsut doesnt regester into your bank until you select them as a fighter. So if they die with 15k and you buy them back for 5k the 15k will be depositied when you select them.
@whatshisface: Meh He did okay. That is a very low ranked match anyway. No one is expecting anyone to be amazing in something of that level.
@nime: There is already a preview of a new map i think. I saw it on youtube. They also said that their current goal is 1 new character or new map or a bunch of skins/ cosmetics every month. This month was a character and with the new map they might have showed i suspect a new map is next month.
Honestly I always thought Star Wars was pretty boring. Star Wars 7 is so far the only one I have enjoyed. As for why they didn't do enough with the characters I agree but hey they are making more than one movie. Gotta leave room for character growth.
I also agree with Brad that they did wink and nod to the camera a lot. Like when Rey uses the force to get the trooper to leave. It was funny because he drops the gun as a last minute request with a nonchalant casual remark " ... and I'll drop my weapon" But this was a very "Movie" moment. Brad doesn't like that kind of stuff. That is to say even though it was playing to the audience I enjoyed this movie more than anything out of the Star Wars series. Star Wars is fucking boring but had it's moments. The new movie was fun to watch.
