The game truly comes into its own on All Night difficulty with challenge items enabled. That's the core of the game to me, with Easy to Hard feeling a bit too basic in comparison.
There is a rumor going around that there going to announce the release date at the D23 in Japan, which is in November. Also one of the people working on it confirmed there are more characters that they have yet to show.
That "rumor" is ridiculously dumb. Atlus would have no reason whatsoever to be associated with D23.
And yes, Shigenori Soejima stated that there would be more characters to reveal in Persona Magazine 6 months ago, in the #2015 February issue.
@civid: So the Persona timeline is kinda of a fucking mess at the moment so I'll try to explain.
First is the main section of Persona 4 Golden (with Persona Q happening at the same time) then it goes to Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Ultimax, the epilogue of Persona 4 Golden and then Dancing All Night.
Isn't it all pretty straightforward, barring Persona Q?
@donutfever: If they don't annouce a release date with this new trailer do you think it still comes out this year?
Apparently there is no release date in the Blu-ray version of PV02. They wouldn't want to keep the release date just for people who buy P4D early, though, so it kind of makes sense. Revealing it at TGS would be too late for a 2015 game, so I'd expect it before then.
That was the first rumor, but one following that is that it's more like 4 minutes long. Things are rather uncertain right now, but it's looking like the latter is more likely.
I don't know. It seems like so much of the prediction hangs upon the previous statement that the game was 'still set' to come out in 2015. I think the only thing we can really say for certain is that the game will not come out before October 2015.
Yeah, this is basically it. It's not so much a prediction as using the statements that have been made before and the current confirmations. Both games have been confirmed for 2015, (and Atlus USA's PR manager reconfirmed the window two months ago) so that's the logic the article went with, outlining that it's as long as both releases are not delayed.
The possibility of a delay is ever-present in both Japan and North America. But yes, if the previously confirmed 2015 release dates both in Japan and North America prove to be true, the release window for both regions would have to be October to December of this year.
I spotted an English poster for Persona 5 in a recent Atlus USA Instagram video where they introduce staff member Ayami, who worked on the Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker 3DS theme.
The Japanese one is this, for reference:
They replaced the Japanese text at the top left (which says something like "What awaits us? Glory or destruction?") with the "Only on PlayStation" text. It's probably a poster which they'll have at their E3 booth this year.
