I found myself starting to get tired of the initial starting weapons early on, so I incentived myself to both change my weapons immediately when a new one showed up and invest in the random starter weapons as early as possible. I wish they actually had those unlocked from the beginning, but I can understand why they didn't.
Again, while I'm enjoying the progression, I "forced" myself to do what I've done. This allowed me to experiment and become more accustomed to other weapons (also helping me not get attached to any type), letting me find more enjoyment from each run and the progression.
I don't think you're expecting too much, too quick though.

But just as a side question, are you a fan of run based games/rougelikes in general?

@memonk: Very nice! I still haven't got to use either blue because I haven't unlocked them yet, debating on just putting the few bucks in to do it lol

I was just wondering what teams everyone have been going with so far. Since it's only been out a couple weeks I'm assuming there haven't been too many broken teams found yet, but I'm probably wrong. Feel free to share your team and even how they've changed since the game came out.

Personally, I'm loving Android 16 on point, with Trunks in the middle and Tien on anchor. That grab game on 16 is just too much for me. Plus, building up that meter for some perfect time neo tri beams with Tien will never not be amazing. I'm debating on switching up Trunks for maybe Goku Black or even Vegeta, not sure though, gotta see what feels right for me.

@drrobotnikx: Of definitely at this point, it'll definitely be up there for the category for sure. I'd say front runners for the category would maybe PewDeePie, Mass Effect and Battlefront, probably missing something really big and obvious though. Maybe like NeoGaf, IGN, Sonic Forces, or maybe just EA in general this year.

@elmorales94: Oh Boy, I basically just finished Wolfenstein and all of those moments are spot on. It's going to be so hard narrowing it down to one! Also, It's a shame you can't have any of the old cast in for character as well. Even though I really like a lot of the new cast, Grace and Super Spesh especially, the way they flesh out characters from the last game is really incredible, BJ and Max particularly for me. At this point I feel the big contenders for story will be Nier: Automata, Night in the Woods, Wolfenstein II and maybe Edith Finch.

@teddie: ooo that would be a good substitute for the 360 category from last year, would be pretty amusing to see the arguments there.

Really? My thought was a battle between PUBG, Zelda and Nier for the top 3. I say Nier towards the top because from podcasts and panels both Alex and Ben seemed real passionate. I could see some sway towards it. Then, depending how Mario turns out, I see that, Destiny 2, and Horizon battling for 4-6. From there, I can maybe see Resident Evil squeaking on, but I think there's a better chance for Yakuza 0. Maybe Pyre? Nioh might be the one Jason game to get on the list. And I doubt Persona even though both Ben and Alex finished it.

Yeah that's definitely my mistake on those two, that's definitely my sloppiest list up there. Sonic has enough new and Samus Returns would be more of a remake then I guess. I'll have to clean that one up, I was honesty just adding stuff by the end of it.

The clown guy from Yakuza 0, the scientist and monster guy from Breath of the Wild, Emile from Nier: Automata, the doctor and airsoft guy from Persona 5, Trowzer from Yooka-Laylee, the pig guy from Cuphead, the merchant from Pyre, one of the shops from Splatoon 2...so many. Would it be cool for me to add that category to the list?
