fallout new vegas
Is amazing
As sort of a sisterhood to dark souls in my mind
Neither ever leave my top 5
Its a game that really moved the medium foward no other game has such an open and intelligent conversation with the player about things like facism, anarchism, religion
The list goes on and on
And all this while giving san andreas a run for its money as a shoot um up do anything big sandbox game
The game is just so dense with ideas
Its so detailed to not only feel like a real place
But a place more important than any where youve ever been
Fuck a robot
Do jet and psycho
Take your lesbian
Boxing champ brainchild
And glorified taxidermy mistake on a trip around the desert
And win for the house
Fallout new vegas is must play for serouis gamers

Falout 2
Is an amazing horror game
Yes i did say that
Simular to new vegas
I honestly feel like the game taught me about the world in a funny way when i was 14
Living in a quiet suurb i got to (virtually) join a gang
Through fallout 2
I really dont know how to describe my tour with fallout 2 the summer before highschool all i knew is my pc "spider" was the cruelest nastiest most vicious female in the waste and killed almost exclusively with a jackhammer shotgun on burst
The way fallout 2 just delves into your psyche like this is what sets it above some of the 3d realtime games in the series
The world the game presents you with is scary as hell
In a way so much more intense than typical "horror" games
If you like other crpgs of the late 90s (baldursgate, planescapetorment)
Or just really love fallout
Give it a shot

Fallout 3
Lives in atmosphere
But it also lives in clever and charmingly quickly rpg mechanics
To say its oblivion with guns isnt really a bad thing to me
Both are very tethel very awesome design idea
The idea of making quest in the way a very good dungeon master would
I actually think fallout does it a bit better because it has the quirk and dark moral gray karma based stories from earlier games
It was my entree to the series and it usually floats near the top

Fallout 1
Is by far the darkest entry in the series
Its almost sureal that the games started in a place so bleak and black
A lot of falloit feels like crawling through a maze like twisted ruin of southern california post nukes
It pretty much defined every post apocplytic game to come
Unlike fo2 where your feel like a cowboy blowing stuff up and kicking ass
Fallout kicks your ass and leaves you to fix a seemingly unfixable nightmare world

Fallout shelter is legit a cool little buzz game
Yeah sure its some what of a markting ploy
But its still fun as shit
And a really cool idea
I havent played it much yet
But a game where you start and manage a post apocalyptic settlement is something ive always wanted to exist
And the fact the this game has so few flaws
And just kind of gives you a drop and pick up
Take it anywhere buzz is a plus in my book
Also its a fallout game!
I put above some arguable classics for those reasons

Its great dont get me wrong
But fallout 4 is a bit of a catch 22 in my book
A great fallout game
But a bit of a lack luster game in of its own
Constantly having to scrounge junk as a core gameplay loop just sucks as an idea where are all the real guns in the game?
The pipe rifle in fallout 2 was pretty much just a joke weapon for how in the boonies
Aroyo/klamath was
And now its half the guns in the game
The factions are all half baked and kind of broken
The logical game thats so fun to play with faction in new vegas and morrowind is just stupified in the worst way here
Its one of those games i could rant about forever
The level design
Yuck
But ill stop by saying
Its a nice little boat
But you can poke a TON of holes in it

Tactics is odd
Its not the worst fallout game (despite being reconed out of the lore) and its not such a bad game (despite being seemingly dissociative between its turn based modes and realtime mode) i guess what i can say its that most fun ive had with it is make op squads and play the whole thing on real time for a bit pf ironic fun kinda like fallout 4 i wouldnt play it if it werent fallout
Stupid story and wtf is going on gameplay
But still it feels like fallout

I really dont know much about brotherhood of steel most my opinion on it is second hand
The one timre i did play it i couldnt make it out of the bar
For years it was the only black sheep of the series
A really lame story steeped in the worst kind of early 00s edge
And combat so whack it hurts
Its bassically unplayable but from what i understand the story and overall feel werent the worst in 2004
More mediocre than anything it was the franchisees atempt to through anything out to stay alive

76 is
Really funny to make fun of
Ive never played it
Yet i probably will at this point
I thought the game would bomb from day one "every character is a player" ok... how is that supposed to work again?
Sure i get it your tired of the 76 hate boner but really i dont want roleouts like this and cyberpunk to be the future of gameing (i love cyberpunk now that theyve fixed a lot of it) but to compare the 2 is kind of nonsense because cyberpunk was just a broken buggy game there was a great game behind the bugs
76 launched as i understand as a shell of a game where a game should be
Its like todd expected everyone to just pretend they were playing a game
