I'm probably going to start with a medium build operative. In BF:BC2 the ability to tag opponents seemed really cool to me, from what I understand the operative will have a similar ability in Brink.

In terms of single character, its Varric no contest.

My favorite pairing to bring around though is Aveline and Isabela, they have the best (and most awkward, especially if you romance Isabella) party banter that I've heard so far.

"
Agreed. Aveline and Isabella have some hilariously catty dialogue

After I beat the game I was reading about it online and discovered that by skipping some of the side quests and heading for the Deep Roads I completely missed out on this character named Fenris. Never met him, never joined my party... oops :)

I did think something was funny about how all through the game I was finding two handed weapons and none of my characters could use them.

I'd like to mess with portals but I have a hard time doing anything in the Nether without getting blasted by ghasts left and right. The best solution I've come up with so far is to start any Nether projects by building a lot of defensive walls around the area first, but that isn't always practical. I was wondering how everyone else who makes use of portals and the Nether survives those flying jellyfish assholes.

I thought the dual wield abilities (teleport-backstab, backflip, etc...) were a lot of fun with the new more action oriented style of combat. To be fair, I haven't tried archery yet...

I also had no trouble finding games last night; I played some of all 3 types. Although I will say it sat on the Connecting... screen for what seemed like a long time

Whoa, cool! I like Pat Benatar but would not have guessed that they'd pick her for a DLC pack. That's a good set of songs too. Fire and Ice should be a good challenge for vocalists :)

As of the latest patch you should find Hero's Call bulletin boards in the capitol cities that will give you quests directing you to zones appropriate for your level.
