I've been irritated by the Resistance 2 European release date of late - for those of you who don't know it's nearly a month later than the US launch. I've never been one of those Europeans that moans and whines about every release date: "but it's coming out a day after America! This pisses me off... ARGH." - I'm sure you've seen the types on Kotaku.

When it comes to a release like Resistance 2 though, Sony's second biggest game this holiday season I have to ponder why the space between American release and European release isn't much, much, MUCH tighter. I was expecting a week difference, perhaps two. That I'd be happy with.

After considering for a long time about importing the game I've decided it's a blessing in disguise. See, we don't even have Little Big Planet yet and Mirror's Edge is only around the corner - it wouldn't be fair for me to try and juggle those two games between Resistance 2. So while it breaks my heart that I have to wait for Resistance and the American community will already have far, far, far eclipsed the leaderboards - at least this way I get to spend time with those other games I've been waiting for.
