Holy shit, the repeating music was really drilling itself into my brain. Thank god that was just during the Tournament endings.
Also I hope you'll just do a quick ranking of all the intros too, even if 5's opening might already be the winner. Three's opening just wins for me with the strength of nostalgia alone.
You definitely should've included the game openings, Tekken 3 one is especially burned into my mind. Of course it was also the only Tekken I played back in the day. Mokujin's easily my favorite ending from it, just because the FMV made it stand out and made it very "real" to my very young mind.
This was a dope feature. Glad to see Dan put things in motion fairly quickly. Hoping for a speedy recovery of This is The Run and Demo Derby as well.
…I think some folks might have a kind of unhealthy relationship with this site. I would have loved a proper send-off for Jeff too, but I’m not going to curl up into a ball and cry out for a ”betrayal”.
Surprised at the new intro. I didn’t love the previous one, but I got used to it fast. Guess now there won’t at least be someone bitching about it in the comments each week.
This was a good start of something new, though my podcast feed is getting pretty crowded now!
Lot of pressure put on the remaining folks, don’t envy them. I hope I get to hear Jeff’s voice somewhat regularly after this still and I hope he gets to do something great.
Going to the movies is one of the few things I do in my small town, so I'm all for it. Of course the fact that it's a small town theatre not located in the US probably has spared me from some of the horror stories I've read online. At worst there has just been people talking loudly at parts or looking at their phones, which still sucks, but doesn't run it for me.
Movies also don't come available over here digitally within a month like they almost seem to do in the US, which is another good reason for me to go watch them in a theatre as soon as I can if I'm really interested.
