god why is everyone freaking out about this, most of the comments say that this is a horrible idea. dude it's a video game console, it's made to play games, not movies. sure dvd and blue ray support would be nice but iwata is right, you probably already have a dvd player so why does it matter? and im glad they made this decision because this means that it will cost less.

i don't know how anyone could call luigis mansion a bad game, that was one of the best games i had ever played. and im really excited for luigis mansion 2! :D

i was a nintendo fanboy for the longest time. i denounced everything that was not nintendo, i even called playstation and xbox evil. i don't really know why. but then came that fateful day that i played halo 2 for the first time at my friend's house. it was a blast. it was that day that i realized: "this is stupid, why should i only stick to nintendo and hate all other gaming companies when all of the games on other systems are just as fun as nintendo games?" so later i got an xbox, and i had a gamecube and an xbox. nowadays i have a wii, ps3, and xbox 360. i have completely departed from my old nintendo fanboy ways and i can call myself fairly balanced. I still like nintendo more than xbox or playstation, but at least i like them all now and i dont hate everything that is not nintendo. if you can do that, even if you still like nintendo the most, just learn to like the other systems and enjoy their games too, then you have succeeded. 

some of these legal contract  things do seem a little absurd, but i dont think that they are a reason to freak out about them this much

oh my god, this guy sounds insane... why does he have to be the one to do the uncharted movie?

oh my god, i never knew there was a 40 megabyte limit, that's so stupid! I mean the wii has 512 mb of space on its harddrive (which is still pitiful but the space is there) I love the wii but nintendo made some really stupid design choices when making it, like the harddrive space for example. oh well.

It still pisses me off that japan has had this since freaking september

im a huge nintendo fan but god, 39 mb is wiiware size? jesus. nintendo really messed up there making such a small harddrive for the wii most xbla games are like 100mb-1gb depending on the game

hmm, seems like a weird thing for 5thcell to make, but 5thcell is awesome in what they've done so far, so i'll keep an open mind
