My parents were raised in Mexico, but I was born in the US so when I'd watch TV as a kid and see kids getting disciplined with "time outs", "sitting in the corner", "go to your room" and the like I had no idea what was going on. When I'd see kids act up in the store and throw a temper tantrum I'd wonder why the parents didn't just smack them to make them stop.
People seem really mad about this game. Seems that those that care about fighting are super happy with the mechanics and those that want a more story focused mode heavy game are mad since those features currently don't exist.
I don't really like puzzle games, but fuck it I just bought the game. I REALLY liked Braid and Fez so what am I suppose to do? Well lets go internet hive mind. Time to discover the secrets, but unlike with Fez I'll be right in it this time.
EDIT: Oh, it's a global release at the same time so we can't play right now? Fuck.
And I actually really liked what I played but I just stopped.
Though isn't the whole joke about Geralt naming the horse Roach is that he names them like hamsters that keep dying.
It might be considered a spoiler so I'll just say it in the spoiler block thing but...
The human Roach you meet and spend time with in Witcher 2 is in Witcher 3. That's why when Jeff said that there's only one Roach in Witcher 3 people were quickly able to figure out that no one got very far in the Witcher 3 story because Roach appears pretty early on and plays a role in the larger story.
Poor bloodborne, no fromsoft love again this year, good list otherwise though. Does anyone's else feel like the witcher got throw a lot of bones this year, especially considering no one had actually seen the conclusion of the game.
Am I mistaken or did Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, and now Bloodborne fail to make Giantbombs top 10?
I'd also like to add that I was kinda upset that GB failed to list my number 1 game this year (nothing else came close) in the top 10, but it subsided when I saw other places make the right choice in giving Bloodborne their GOTY award.
"There is only one Roach in Witcher 3" - Oh the irony.
The me from the past just sighed and thought, "Clearly no one played Witcher 3." At the very least no one even reached that specific part of the game where you are more or less forced to face Roach head on.
