Whoever made Machinarium beats them both up. Also, Capcom and Konami, somehow. For a relevant answer, Lucasarts, because I've never played a Sierra game (does Peasant's Quest count?).
I can see why you would say Machinarium, but Konami and Capcom? Have those companies ever made a point and click adventure game?

For the adventure games fanatics out there, are you more a Sierra fanboy or a Lucasarts one? For me it's definitely Lucasarts. I grew up with those games and I thought they had a certain charm that most Sierra games didn't have. It's probably got to do with the fact that Lucasarts had more of a "one game per franchise" approach and then moved on to something else completely different, whereas Sierra had all those Quest games that had tons of sequels. It seemed to me like they were churning out game after game.

That's what I thought back then. That's also one of the reasons why now I can't get into most of those games now. I wouldn't know where to start: should I play the early King's Quest games for the story, eventhough I know they are probably gonna suck, or start right away with KQ VI?

Still, Sierra still made one of my favourite games, the first Gabriel Knight. One of the few Sierra games I've played, and it was a long time after it came out. It holds up incredibly well and has so much charm, it's unbelievable. I might love it more than a lot of Lucasarts games actually.

How does it compare to the original Deus Ex and its sequel? Better than the second game and worst than the original or does it surpass both?

No More heroes soundtrack. The guy that does the soundtracks to Suda51 games in general, I remember Killer 7's being pretty good too.

Silent Hill games usually have awesome soundtracks

Cooperative for me but I can't really explain why. I just like when you have a good partner/team and everything goes smoothly. But sometimes it can be pretty frustrating to play with people you don't know.

I admit it it doesn't qualify as music, but it's some trippy shit I'll give you that, I actually listened to the entire thing. Like listening to Wolf Eyes, you know it's shit, but it's weirdly hypnotic sometimes.

That's the first guy I thought of, eventhough I'm not that much of a Hirax fan. Bad Brains also obviously.
