I've noticed in the past few weeks that I often get really poor buffering when using progressive or HTML5 streams - both of which are served by the giantbombvideo.cbsistatic.com . Youtube plays completely fine, as well as all other streaming services. This wouldn't be a problem if all of the videos were available through Youtube but this isn't the case.
Here's a screencap of the request timing for the hls video segments, it's taking a very long time to download a small amount of data.

I don't think that the issue is with my connection either, as it is maintaining a stable 50MB/s down.
Could the cbsistatic CDN be under provisioned? It's particularly bad during evening peaks (5pm-11pm AEST, 11pm-5am PST)
Any help you could offer would be grand, premium videos are pretty much unwatchable. Thanks!
