Crystal Dynamic's reboot is a promising new start for the series 0

Lara Croft is no longer the cocky, cold-blooded killer she once was. After she’s forced to make her first kill in the new reboot of the Tomb Raider series, she doesn’t spout a cheeky one-liner, instead she trembles falls to her knees, sobbing in horror at what she has done. Moments like this lend a humanity to a character whose personality, in the past, has been mostly one-dimensional. It also sums up the new direction for the franchise, aiming for a more realistic, gritty approach, as opposed t...

It Truly would be a Crime to not play Sleeping Dogs (sorry) 1

It is safe to say that Sleeping Dogs has had a difficult journey up to it's release. The open-world crime game originally began development in 2008 as part of Activision's True Crime series. You will sp...

Bethesda have perfected the formula 0

If I had to use one word to sum up The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the sequel to Bethesda's critically acclaimed 2006 game Oblivion, that word is epic. Although to use only one word to describe a game so large and detailed seems almost unfair. You can quite easily spend 100 hours exploring Skyrim’s rich Nordic world discovering bustling towns populated by chattering pedestrians, joining secret guilds, crafting potions, marrying a local, attending a college of magic and so much more. All that withou...

Eidos bring back Deus Ex in style 0

In 2000, Ion Storm released the sci-fi RPG Deus Ex, it gained universal acclaim for its highly varied gameplay and deep storyline, packed with conspiracy and intrigue. It is still remembered today as one of the greatest games of all time. Now, over a decade since the first Deus Ex game, and with new developer Eidos Montreal at the helm, does Deus Ex: Human Revolution live up to the legacy set by the original?Set in 2027, Human Revolution sees you playing as Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT cop for Detroi...
