@andrack: I remember that one. "Yuuki Yuuna no Yuusha", or "Yuuki Yuuna is a hero". I watched it a couple of months ago. Great music. If I recall correctly, some people ended up feeling quite betrayed when it turned out that [Mild spoiler] the disabled girl hadn't been disabled from birth, but had been disabled because of plot-related reasons..
@grimluck343: I think the big difference is that the beastcast actually went in depth on the issue, while the bombcast just alluded to it in evasive terms, pausing only to condemn the internet.
Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, said this, regarding the negative reaction of the Monday Night Raw crowd to the appearance of a woman wrestler who is a bad wrestler, bad actor, and moderately attractive, and how WWE expected her to be well recieved:
It's like, you can never predict the audience, no matter how smart you are. And WWE.. you know, sometimes they can and sometimes they can't, especially now. But this one? This one was a no-brainer. And the idea that they didn't figure it out.. This was one where I was really surprised how they didn't figure this out. This was an easy one. It is the typical WWE, they're trying to go right, but they can't help themselves from going left. They think that she (Eva) is so hot that everyone is going to like her. It didn't work in NXT and it obviously didn't work tonight. People have so much access to photos of hot women, that being a hot woman who can't wrestle, it doesn't mean shit anymore. There was a time when it did with Tammy Sytch and Sable. But times change.
This is closely related to what Dan was talking about around 2/3s of the way in this video, and it's my biggest problem with this: Whoooooo caaaaaaaares? If you want to see women wearing little to no clothing, even 3d renders of women instead of real women, there are SO many ways to do it, why spend a bunch of money on a console game, then spend more on microtransations?
Doesn't actually matter to me of course. No one's forcing me to buy it. And heck, technically I can't even if I wanted to. But man, I'm skeptical that there's even enough demand to justify this game in the first place.
So, This game seems pretty cool, but I'm leery of the xbox buttons showing up all over the UI. Are the keyboard and mouse controls good? And is the game limited by being designed for a controller?
