@mosdef: The Ultimate universe is just one of multiple universes so yes, there are multiple versions of heroes/villains as well. The movie universe is also considered one of these alternate universes and even has its own number designated to it (although I cant remember it).
@hailinel: I think it was still a great series after that but I do wish Bendis hadnt taken that route. Ultimate Peter Parker was probably my favourite character from comics and it completely sucked when they killed him off.
It was created to be an easy entry into Marvel comics for people who werent interested in decades of history to have to learn and it was supposed to be a more grounded world in which to tell the stories of Marvel's heroes.
Its in the middle of a big event at the moment so a good time to jump in would be once the Cataclysm event has ended as it looks like there will be a massive shake up and a good place to start. If you are interested in reading from the beginning though then I would suggest starting with the first Ultimates book along with Ultimate Spider-Man. Both amazing books that are well worth reading.
My PS4 copy is on its way at the moment. I've already got the PS3 version and loved it, it was my GOTY last year and I was always planning on replaying it but my PS3 broke last week so this seemed like a worthwhile purchase.
Its been a while since I watched so just ignore me if this kind of stuff happens more often now but did anyone else find it weird when Michael Cole mentioned how this was the first time the JBL persona was entering the rumble? For me it was a weird breaking the fourth wall moment where he was admitting these guys go through characters and that Bradshaw had previously been in Royal Rumbles.
