I made this thread before and it got deleted, maybe because it was made before the last video went up? But hopefully it's fine now.
The list of the winners with audio evidence was already going around the internet if you knew where to look. I got spoiled on it myself. I know it's not the biggest deal, but I'd have preferred to listen without knowing the winners days in advance. It's also bad because it cuts traffic from the website. I could swear something like this happened last year too. Surely, there's gotta be a way to prevent this from happening in the future.
So it seems possible to just not go to those places. It's probably fine.
Still, it'd be nice if this kind of thing wasn't possible and people couldn't get the videos days early by messing around with URLs. I'm sure you can agree with that.

MGSV beating out the Witcher is quite a surprise to me.
Not to me. MGS games mechanically have a much broader appeal than a hardcore WRPG. Plus that series has been around forever and has a lot of name recognition. Afterall it's hard to make it onto somebody's list if they don't even buy it.
I think it's a real tribute to Witcher 3's quality that it came that close.
There's also the fact that MGS V is an excellent game and far better than The Witcher 3, that helps too.
It's realllly gross that MGSV and its garbage post-release updates have been rewarded like this, but I can't say I'm surprised. Proof that it is certainly possible to almost ruin what was initially great.
Mortal Kombat X not even in the top 30. This is why I'll never truly feel like a part of this community. Come the fuck on.
You know, despite coming to that game a couple months late and enduring far more of that bullshit than probably anyone on staff, that's still easily in my top 3 games of the year. What they did was insane, but they've pulled back on the worst stuff and seem to be adding some interesting content to the online portion of that game at this point.
Damn right, I still play the game and haven't put a cent into it nor do I intend to. It's still the best game of the year IMO.
I continue to believe that V.R. is a fad akin to the Kinect and the Wiimote. A concept that sounds good in theory but the majority of people will not actually want to use for more than one hour a week at most. Just because it was predicted to be the future in 80s movies does not mean it's a concept actually worth pursuing. It playing well to game journalists and entertainers on a few press conferences doesn't mean anything either.
Even if this was priced at 200 dollars, it would still be a waste of money.
It's a fun little game with some funny and endearing stuff in it. I think it's well worth the ten bucks price of admission.
It's incredibly over rated, however, it's not even close to being the game of the month it was released, yet I see so many people claiming it's the game of the year. The overly passionate fanbase of the game has kind of soured me on it and I don't like discussing it as much with people anymore.
Weird that some people say the game only gets good later, to me the game is at it's best on it's first third, and gets annoying and bad on it's last third when you get to the lava level (aside from the Sans boss fight if you go Genocide)
