just stopping by to say this is the best episode after the series conclusion of the aftermath because im in it. But it's also the worst because ben didn't appreciate my hot Fishcenter Live reference
You can saw, yeah lower price point, but you're also talking much lower marketing. Everyone knew all of those games were coming. Hades had been chugging along in early access, then they just said "we're done" and then it fucking exploded.
I think it has more to do with hades just being a game that anyone can get behind. It's hard to come up with flaws, and it executes everything it sets out to do so pefectly. even if it doesn't personally like completely emotionally speak to you, it's gonna end up somewhere on anybody's list that touched it. probably in the upper half.
contrast that with every big game this year that gave a lot of people mixed feelings. Doom. Animal Crossing. Last of Us. CYBERPUNK???
Im glad supergiant finally closes the loop and gets the goty after debuting at what? no. 3 then not appearing on any list after that? I personally think pyre is better, but it's hard to argue with the sheer quality execution on hades
This is also probably weirdly the most in-line GB has been with other people goty's since...Last of Us?
ALSO
doesn't the finale of tlou 2 take place in santa babara?
i will not take this slander from brad as a true daygo faithful
The concept of the post-game is cool, but honestly there's a lot of dissonance between the tone of post-game lines vs lines that were clearly written in the pre-10 run context that continue to play after that, it kind of breaks the whole illusion the game spent so much time building.
