Hulk on IRC yesterday and Carlos beg Hulk for blog post about comics and recommendations for recent stuff. So here Hulk is living up to Hulk promise. Hulk such awesome guy. Hulk have help from puny Banner in writing blog. Hulk hate Banner but he good for some things that Hulk not so good at.
Hulk suggest starting with Planet Hulk. Planet Hulk is a story where Hulk is banished from the Earth by puny human superheroes because they fear Hulk is too powerful to stop and impossible to cure.
The seeds for Planet Hulk as well as another company wide crossover called Civil War all begin in the pages of a one-shot called New Avengers: Illuminati. This book sets the stage for Planet Hulk and explains the decision making behind why Hulk was sent off in to space.

Next up is the Peace in Our Time story arc which spans issues 88-91 of Incredible Hulk volume 3. This arc explains how the Illuminati got the Hulk into space in order to send him away to another planet where he could seemingly no longer harm the people of Earth. It involves sending the Hulk to an abandoned S.H.I.E.L.D. space station to take down a rogue A.I. that has taken over and threatens Earth.
Incredible Hulk #92-95 the "Exile" story arc marks the beginning of Planet Hulk. This story line chronicles Hulk's early arrival on the planet and his subsequent enslavement by the tyrannical dictator of this world and Hulk is forced to become a gladiator in the arena. Donning the new moniker of "Green Scar", Hulk forms strong bonds with his fellow gladiators, who become his elite "Warbound" honor guard.
Noteable appearance by the Silver Surfer as another enslaved gladiator.
Incredible Hulk #96-99, the "Anarchy" arc. It mostly involves Hulk leading the rebellion against the Empire. The arc is noteworthy for being the first real meeting and interaction between Hulk and the Shadow Warrior Caeira. Caeira is a legendary warrior and the right hand of the Red King. She's also the future bride of the Hulk.
Incredible Hulk #100-103. The "Allegiance" arc is the beginning of the end of Planet Hulk. After many long battles and various trials Hulk and his army are now ready to finally take the fight to the Red King and liberate the planet from his reign.
Incredible Hulk #104-105. "Armageddon". The "explosive" ending to Planet Hulk that enrages Hulk far beyond any level to date. Sending him on a vengeance fueled mission back to Earth to SMASH the puny humans that are responsible for his rage.
