I just started watching Mad Men through netflix and im on about episode 8 or something. Does this show ever pick up or is that what to expect until i'm caught up?
After hearing all the buzz around the show I recently watched all 4 seasons on Netflix and caught up to season 5. I can say that season 1 is a little slow towards the beginning, but picked up for me a little over halfway through it and each season after that I think got progressively better. The season finale of season 3 is one of my favorite episodes and season 4 is currently my overall favorite, although season 5 is giving it a run for its money. I think if you're debating on dropping the show at least watch some of season 2. If you're still not hooked by then it may not be for you.
Also, have to agree with everyone on here. Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Fringe, Justified, Mad Men, Awake (sad to see it cancelled), Person of Interest. I also think USA has a few really great shows that are just about to start up again like Burn Notice, Royal Pains and Suits and I've heard good things about White Collar but haven't got around to watching it yet.
