Just yesterday, I saw the credits roll on Assassin's Creed II. In spite of the slightly out-of-place end to Ezio's tale, I felt the game was brilliant - definitely a marked improvement over the original Assassin's Creed, at any rate. I enjoyed the game so much, I'm seriously thinking about going back and attempting the S-rank. I only have five Achievements left, but those damn feathers... As for recommending the game, I definitely would. Then again, I think pretty much everybody who would be interested in ACII has probably already played it, so that recommendation isn't really worth much.
I just finished that game as well. Had been lying on my shelf since its release but never played it before. I did play and finish the first game and, even though it was repetitive, I enjoyed it immensely. The second game is an improvement on all accounts and I'll be picking up Brotherhood as soon as I can.
Wahlberg is a fine actor but seems to lack the tongue in cheek character of Nathan Drake. For me there are only two obvious Nathan Drake's and those are Nolan North and Nathan Fillion with Fillion being my preferred actor.
Glad Russell is out of the picture as a director. The direction he wanted to take with the movie seemed wrong.
