I have a friend who said "can I get a beer?" at a bar once. The bartender was annoyed of course, but he did successfully get "a beer". Can't remember what it was, it was something light.
That email about "full helmet VR" and them riffing on the future of VR at 2:07 reminded me - you guys need to watch Season 3 episode 2 of Black Mirror.
I played through Okami on PS3 after a breakup. It was something I had been wanting to play for a while but never got around to buying, so it was sort of a gift to myself. And it was a nice long adventure, so I had something consistent to look forward to in the evenings for a few weeks.
I saw resolution scaling for the first time in Doom, and I thought it was awesome. It's the same huge performance boost that you get from lowering the resolution the old-fashioned way, except it takes effect instantly instead of making your monitor refresh, and you can make fine adjustments rather than having to jump from 1080p all the way down to 720.
Also still liking these graphics over the dirty clay look of SFV.
For me, SFV has this weird uncanny valley look to the characters that kinda makes me uncomfortable at times. It's like if you saw a real life person with comic book muscles and proportions.
