@mindbullet: Overwatch wasn't actually copied; the video that went sorta viral was some game developer in China putting on an event saying "we have talented devs and can make good games" and then showing that trailer to prove that their devs knew how to make good games. They didn't actually release it or do anything with it.
@caboosemsg: The QL was played with Jeff's save and by the end of it he was running into the same problem that Brad had (not having enough cores to continue the story), but at an earlier area than Brad.
The game is a native 1080 right? A few minutes in and I can't help but notice the insane amount of aliasing everywhere. Maybe because they record at 720p, it's downscaling and causing all those jaggies? Oof.
I'm surprised none of them saw or spoke of Persona 5. There's a 12-minute offscreen video out there of a new game demo they showed off at E3.
Edit: And now Jeff just brought it up without saying much. Guess he didn't bring it up in the discussion because it didn't sound like he actually saw the demo first hand.
Calling $236 million. Internet pre-sales are tracking ahead of JW and it hits the right notes--appeals to young kids and their parents in a way a lot of blockbusters don't.
I also have already seen it so I'm pretty confident in that figure.
I dunno, $800 for HTC seems a bit overpriced. All of the good designers left already so all you'd get is a mediocre random tech division saddled with a poor performing smartphone division. Maybe at $500.
