You think it's a weakness? Make it strength.

Has anyone seen the latest Castle episode? I love this show; I haven't seen a more emotionally charged and well-written scene in the series before this one. The acting is top notch, also. The subtle music in the background pulls you in, too.

Esposito: Like every other bad guy, he's damaged goods.
Beckett: So am I.
Esposito: That's right... and that's OK. You think it's a weakness? Make it strength. It's a part of you, so use it.
Anyone have any other examples of seemingly flawed/weak characters who find it within themselves to use that trait as a strength to overcome obstacles? It can be from any media you can think of: video games, movies, books, tv shows. Video clips/excerpts would be appreciated :D.
I love these kinds characters; just like anti-heroes and anti-villains, they're complex.
