Double Dipping on Games!!

Hello boys and girls!!

These are the games that I own more than one copy of for several reasons but mainly because I love them.    For example, I purchased the PSN versions of most of my favorite PS1 games because I like having the ability to play them on my PSP and not having to load the CD into the PS3 when I play at home.   I'm sure you guys have also double dipped on several of your favorite games over the years, what are yours?

Can't wait to see your guys double dips!! =p

The Zombie Apocalypse Has Begun!!

Left 4 Dead is soooo much fun. It was an impulse buy for me really. I had enough on my hands with Gears 2 and Fallout 3 but I couldn't pass this game up after playing the demo because I have a weakness for zombies (I love Resident Evil, Dawn of the Dead (Both original and Remake)  and 28 Weeks Later) . I played the demo on 360 first but decided to go ahead with the PC version because of it's future with the mod community. I don't think the 360 version will get as much content....just look at Team Fortress 2 and besides, mouse and keyboard FTW!!

I'm actually a first time Steam user and whoa i've been missing out on a lot! Everyone says that Xbox Live is best the online gaming service but after playing around with steam.....are you kidding me? In-game you can bring up the official Left 4 Dead chatroom and talk to other players....how awesome is that!?! Steam is free of charge.

I really want to play with people who have mics, it's integral for the experience, so please if you have this game on PC add me on steam "JeanM87" so we can play :)

Oh and Half-Life turned 10 the other day so steam decided to offer the game at only 1 dollar. #@%#%@!!!!

Gears 2 and Fallout 3

This will be short and sweet....

Gears 2 is EPIC (no, not the developer)  and Fallout 3 is ADDICTING (You can actually get addicted to drugs in this game....neeto!!)

I'm itching to play some multiplayer on Gears 2....either Horde or any other competitive mode but I hate playing random people. It just doesn't work....

I'm slowly falling in love with my 360 again.....Thanks to these two games =D

Hit me a PM or a game invite if you see me on Live.

Contributions, Contributions and More Contributions

Whoa, I love this site. I wasn't aware that you could add content into giant bomb until I signed up yesterday. I've made several contributions to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence.

I went to bed late last night writing everything for Lament of Innocence (overview, story, gameplay and hidden goodies)  since the page was completly empty. It seems that im the only guy who actually enjoyed the game back in 2003. Most of the text came from my old gamespot review that I wrote a couple of years back. The only written review that i've done for a game. Of course I added a ton of new stuff which took me around two hours to write, so this contribution better be accepted by the moderator or else I might not writing ever again :p

I plan to make write future contributions for Castlevania: Potrait of Ruin (Yes, I'm a metroidvania fan) and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance since it's empty.

In other news, I'm enjoying the hell out of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I made a blog on Gamespot with my impressions. I'm just going to copy/paste it below in case anyone is interested in reading it. Well guys have a happy Friday!! =D

My Days Are Ruined

WAR!!
WAR!!

A few weeks ago I ordered a Crimson/Black DS lite since I seriously needed an update from my PHAT DS. I'm pretty happy with it, the improvements are HUGE and it makes me think "why didn't I do this sooner?"

Anyways, I picked up Advance Wars: Days of Ruin and I am in love with it. Brief history if you don't know the franchise: The Advance Wars series has been around for years in Japan but came to the US for the first time on the GBA. Since then, developer Intelligent Systems, has released four Advance Wars games in the US and each one of them has garnered a huge following and has taken countless hours of life from tactical gaming fans.

My initial impressions on the game were "oh another Advance Wars game" but as I kept playing, I noticed that the gameplay is much more balanced than it was in Dual Strike (the previous game). They've taken out some over-powered units and replaced them with new ones that offer new and fresh ways to deal with your opponent. The CO's (Command Officer) powers have been reduced significantly. The map creator can now hold up to 50 custom maps unlike the previous game that could only hold three at a time. And of course the big new feature is online play through Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection which works, surprisingly, flawless.

Other things I love about the game is its new direction in story and art. The story is set in a post apocalyptic world with a new cast of characters trying to survive after a meteor shower struck the earth. The storyline is much much more serious dealing with war (duh) , betrayal and death.

I love this game
I love this game

It's good to Advance Wars finally "Advancing" and not see it turn into Fire Emblem (which by the way is made by the same developer) which hasn't changed since the first one came out on the GBA years ago. I can see myself playing this one for hours and hours on my DS just like the previous one. It's true that A LOT of features included in Dual Strike have been striped from Days of Ruin, but the balanced gameplay more than offsets the missing features.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys RTS games on the PC or strategy games in general.

Huh? Who The Hell Is This Guy?

Well well....so this is the famed Giant Bomb created by former Gamespot editors.........it looks awesome =D.

Anyways, I'm known as tj_bernard ( Some people call me johnny five) back at Gamespot but my real name is Jean, tj_bernard was actually my brother's account and I just hijacked it at Gamespot to write blog posts and what not. I know I haven't written anything lately but this seems like a fresh new start for me since it's waaaay easier to write here than in Glitchspot. This site seems more "customizable", less glitchy and user friendly.

Well I hope to add some old acquaintances here from GS and start writing again. I just need something interesting to write about. Later!
