I wont change until I have seen sufficient testing to show that compatibility for old stuff is at least the same as Win7.

@pcorb: I understand that, but I really didn't maxed it out at all, and given my system far surpasses the recommended specs I imagined that I would at the very least get constant 60 FPS at 1080, also the fps drops happen in very weird instances where there's just no explanation, like going on the country side where if anything there is less stuff going on.

It's still very much playable of course and it looks pretty nice, I as just not expecting those drops at all.

Have you installed the GTA V ready Nvidia driver? Also I would recommend using the Geforce Experience app to adjust settings automatically for the game. In this case, it seems like Nvidia really adjusts the settings for you to maximize your card and then you can fine tune the results yourself.

You have to make the decision for yourself. The only ones who could face real legal trouble are the ones modding and distributing the game.

Doesn't really matter. All those who work to preserve games, regardless if the intent should be for history or piracy, will do so no matter the legal implications of their actions. As the great Dr. Jones once said, "It belongs in a museum!"

If you think video games cause sexism, in any way, you also support the notion that video games can cause violence in people as well. Everyone is responsible for their own actions, relinquishing a person from their actions is dehumanizing, no matter the circumstance. The recent discussion on gender portrayal in video games has become one of the biggest cesspools I've ever witnessed on the internet. This thread will probably get shitposted to hell and back, but the only thing that matters is that you don't allow yourself to get mad at others on the internet, causing even more pointless bickering.

Nope. What would be the point? Would it even be giantbomb then, and do you really think the guy who says hi at the beginning of a show really has that much sway over how it goes?

Installed Avast. Scanned. Nothing found. Thanks for the help, though.

Maybe you should consider formatting your hard drive and starting from scratch (back up anything important first!!!!), if nothing (avast, windows defender etc) is picking it up then it might be buried pretty deep. Maybe you could take a screen of what's going on?

Assuming it's really this bad, and isn't due to a simple user mistake/overlooking something, you don't want to back anything up yet. It could easily end up on another drive if you did this and at the very worst could be embed in files you want to save. You would really need to try to find it via regedit. I would suggest asking on tomshardware or something because there is always someone who knows how to get rid of that shit.

I'm not accusing DigitalCybercherries of any wrong doing. I'm just stating that attempting to download New Retro Arcarde set me on a path of questionable pop ups, prompting me to download other things. All of these are facts. The intent, the whys, and the whos behind them don't matter when the end result is the same. I've tried twice now, and had the same result (except the freezing computer part. Probably because I stopped downloading everything I was prompted to download). Perhaps I have something weird on my computer, but I don't have problems with anything else. I have anti-malware software on my computer, but I'll try this Avast thing to see if it comes up with anything new.

Again, I'm not trying to accuse anyone of anything, I'm just reporting my personal experience.

No you are in the wrong here bud. The thread title is "BEWARE NEW RETRO ARCADE!!!" you should not be accusing devs of malicious access of your computer due to your own ineptitude. Clearly you have downloaded some shit that gave you a virus but lack the know-how and common sense to trace it back to where you got it. You sound a bit like my grandma trying to use the VCR, but I assume you are just new to the internet or something and not just a boring troll.
