Expect scalpers to extend their stranglehold on these products unless legislation actually passes to combat this or... 2024 hits (great guesses above). Scalpers have bots with known success there's no way they'll give that up especially if they're sitting on existing stock in their spare bedroom.

I'll say it once I'll say it again... if you're a fan of creature collecting games and are somewhat disappointed with the Pokemon series lately: World of Final Fantasy shouldn't be ignored. It has everything from polished graphics, voice acted dialog, refreshing ideas for creature combat, to a phenomenal soundtrack and a girth of content. When I first saw the trailer I scoffed, but playing it changed my mind quickly. I'll be honest I've been playing creature collecting games since Pokemon first released on the original Gameboy and World of Final Fantasy is still my favorite in the genre.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons (1) used to be my top dog for awhile, followed by Ghost of Tsushima (2), but Yakuza: Like a Dragon seems like it will rocket to the #1 or #2 spot real fast based on how much I'm enjoying the hell out of this game.

Preemptively I had Doom Eternal and The Last of Us 2 on my lists, because how could I not love these titles, but then I played them and just had a miserable time with each. Months later I'm still in disbelief on how hard each company dropped the ball when it came to those two.

9th for me using the gun for the first time. I hammered it with hazard shot (big special dmg buff but hurts you) and just kept buffing special since that showed up. Had no idea I was doing so much damage (I turn off dmg numbers in games) until the zone 3 bosses melted and I was like, "oh... ok then!".

Honestly, and I know this sounds like very obvious advice, the game gets easier once you watch boss attack animations and wait to attack after you've dodged through it. Almost all of my deaths can be attributed to me using my dodges constantly with a complete disregard for what the enemy was doing.

Mmm... I'd say I thought it was "shoulder shrug it's fine" like the first game up until that gigantically jarring cliffhanger which transitioned into 12 hours of Abby gameplay. Joel had it 100% coming, but I just never grew to like Abby at all. The entire time I played Abby's section I just wanted to get back to that scene they abruptly cut from.

Yikes and they did it 30 seconds after killing off Jesse. I actually liked him fine. That cliffhanger and Abby section combined with the annoying AI partners (kept actually pushing me out of cover), the zerosum encounters (I should have just ran past most of them apparently), and the overall story just left a bad taste in my mouth. To be honest I finished this game and truly regret my blind purchase of this.

Is it all bad? No of course not. The cast is pretty interestingly diverse. The open world-ish segment at the beginning was really cool and I loved updating my map (wish there was more of that). The dialogue continues to be Naughty Dog's ace in the hole. Heck they do such a good job of character building (despite me not liking most characters). Also the game is gorgeous but that wore off on me past the first 15 minutes. I don't really hang on graphics that much.

At the end of the day, mostly everyone in this game is just an awful person and I picked a revenge tale to side with. I sided with Joel/Ellie and ended up having a bad time playing Abby because of that.

It's time. Build a green screen, CG lounging area and just video people in like the gang's all there.

Apart from the occasional panic buying of dust masks and toilet paper, everything seems relatively calm in the Midwest for the moment. Just lots of notices of events being postponed and to be ready to work from home.

Classic rock stations are still telling us to kick back and drink an extra bud light, while their comments sections are mostly shoulder shrugs from the workin' class.

That's awesome. This game was an absolute blast to play (that also came out in a year full of absolute killers). Definitely worth a run if you've never experienced it.

Thanks this was fun to hop down memory lane for some of these AMVs! I too used to roll around AMVs back in the Hell days and that site. It's been a hot second since I've seen the "Best of You" and "Dayman Cometh" videos so that was fun.

The only three I can think of that I like to keep track of are kind of weird. (that I didn't see here):

Loading Video...

Video Title: "Apocalype Wow! Amv" (title is misspelled)
Video Creator: eternaldragon345 (not his work but current channel)
Anime: Geobreeders / Geobreeders 2
Musical Artist: Quarashi
Song: "Baseline"
Note: Quarashi is basically Beastie Boys but Baseline slaps too hard to not recommend. Also I never see Geobreeders used anywhere else.

(Link to Danger Days AMV)

Video Title: "Danger Days"
Video Creator: bestamvsofalltime (edited by Squall)
Anime: Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Musical Artist: My Chemical Romance
Song: "Na Na Na"
Note: I've never seen a song fit so perfectly with an anime before for this AMV. Kinda impressed.

Video Title: "AMV - chu chu lovely hinamizawa (Editor: rurisis)"
Video Creator: maplexman2
Anime: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry)
Musical Artist: Maximum the Hormone
Song: "Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura"
Note: Nothing can act as a proper companion to Higurashi's tonal duality than this song by Maximum the Hormone.
