I got the RROD on my 360 after having it a couple of years, but Microsoft took care of it.

And then my near-launch PS2 stopped reading discs, and I completely killed it while following an online guide and attempting to fix the laser. But by this point, the slim PS2 had launched (and maybe already had a price cut), so that wasn't that big of a deal.

Oh, and I have a random second generation SNES that won't output video anymore, but my original SNES still works perfectly fine.

I'm number one on a song, and haven't managed to get gold stars on it. So it's definitely based on score rather than leaderboard position.

From what I've been able to gather, you have to beat The Duke's score on a song to get gold stars. They don't really surface what that score is, but I've found it to be a handy reference.

Granted, I also don't have anyone on my friends list playing Blitz, so I always have the AI characters displayed as my rivals.

What confused me, I couldn't scan some of these because it said I "need more experience before I can play these levels". Does that mean I have to advance in the singleplayer to more complex levels before I can play equally complex ones made by users?

Yeah, you need to beat challenge... 109? I think that's right. Something like that.

Then you'll get a message that says your studio has been upgraded, or something to that effect.

There was apparently some recent (as in, a week or two ago), indirect confirmation by a Nintendo representative that they would be out by the end of the year.

But we're rapidly approaching 2012, so who knows.

Man, I didn't even realize this was going to come out in America.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, MEATBALL. I just finished world one, and I'm already in love.

Easily my favorite 3DS game thus far.

@imsh_pl: Wow you don't get it....THAT IS CUTE, I think the clip you just showed is really really cute. There is a difference between beauty and cutness though, you might want to look it up in the dictionary if you still don't know what the difference is...

Beauty is totally subjective though, dude. I don't know why you're trying to convince everyone that your own specific definition, seemingly based on overwrought melodrama, is so much better and "more correct" than everyone else's. Mulan being sad because "stuff" (I haven't seen Mulan is ages, so, bare with me) isn't inherently more beautiful than Carl's character arc in Up. Or the themes of loss and revenge in the Toy Story series. Different things are beautiful to different people.

Also, you keep mentioning Tarzan, which I honestly think is one of the worst animated Disney films, but I'm not going to condescendingly treat you like a "little girl" because we have different tastes in movies. You're just coming off as being pretentious for the sake of being pretentious. About Disney movies.

McGhee, I think Disney films from 1989-1994 [Little Mermaid-Lion King] were the greatest. Pixar was what killed it for me cuz it just felt like celebrities voice acting on CG.

I adore The Lion King. It was the first movie I ever saw in theaters as a kid, and remains one of my favorite films... But that's a really silly argument. Sure, Toy Story has celebrity voice acting, but not any more than you find in The Lion King.

I think Pokémon Grey will be there.

A lot of sites have mentioned that Nintendo registered the domain.. ignoring the fact that they did that months ago, and they've registered hundreds of colours.

It would be unusual for them to announce Pokemon at an event like this, and making it a 3DS exclusive would be odd, since the previous versions weren't.. on the other hand, it would be a huge boost in sales for the 3DS, so it's very possible. Just as long as we don't see Ruby/Sapphire remakes that everyone keeps hoping for. That'll be when the series is dead for me.

Eh, Pokemon Crystal was a Gameboy Color exclusive, while Silver and Gold could be played on a standard Gameboy. It wouldn't surprise me much if Gray came out and it was a 3DS title... If it actually exists, I mean. I'm not really buying any of the rumors that have been going around.

...

Really, I just want to know when I'm going to be able to download Yoshi's Island and Metroid Fusion. C'monnnnnn Iwata.

I've really enjoyed Saves The Day's Daybreak so far. It's probably the most solid and cohesive of their last few albums. It reminds me a lot of In Reverie, which I really like, but without the same air of pretension that I tend to associate with it. And it has a few really neat callbacks to their previous material, which I'm a sucker for.

I can't even think of anything else I've listened to from this year though. The new The Get Up Kids' album was pretty disappointing now that I think about it, even though I really liked it for the first couple of weeks after its release. And I enjoyed the latest Eisley album in the same "I can enjoy Eisley for what they are" kind of way that I enjoy all of their stuff.

Well, Dimps did make another PS2 game, Infinite World, which added some more characters and stuff on top of the Budokai framework. I haven't played it, but I've heard mixed things (as to whether its better than Budokai 3 or not). And then they got sucked into the Street Fighter IV machine, which I'm assuming is the only reason we haven't seen a Burst Limit 2.

However, from what I've heard, Spike (the development team behind the Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast games) lost their license to the franchise, making Ultimate Tenkaichi their last game. So, the next game could be another awesome 2D fighter, provided that the diminishing returns on these games doesn't discourage Namco Bandai from making more... And that Dimps stops making Street Fighter IV expansions.
