I have a bridge in Pittsburgh....

I went back in 2007, Madrid for a few days and Barcelona for a few days. Barcelona is super touristy but definitely go see Gaudi's stuff, mainly La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and Casa Mia. They have hop on hop off tourist buses there that are a great prices and will get you to all the big things quickly. And they have segway tours if you aren't afraid of segways...

As for avoids... avoid Las Ramblas, was just a depressing street of tourist crap and stupid cheap shops.
