Generally I find the updates good. They should do something about the matchmaking-system, as it is flawed (at least on the 360) if you're a party of 2+ wanting to play together.

High latency is hard to fix, but I generally think the hitboxes are working "ok" if the latency is low. Watching kill cams in a match with high latency shows how much latency matters - you can really tell how the person killing you were presented with a situation very different from what you were shown.

There's a new patch out, at least for PC (Steam) now. It includes the following:

  •      Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized
  •     Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry
  •     Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s
  •     Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and 'elevators'
  •     Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency
  •     Fixes to prevent various texture and XP hacks

For more see Steam News or a video-talk-through on the changes.

I have a big wish to Infinity Ward to include the "Tactical"-button layout for lefties in the next update - it shouldn't be hard to implement, and I really miss it.

What's your oppinion on the changes, and what do you think is missing?

What's up with the "believe" part of this topic? Discussing this should not be based on believe og superstition. How about basing the discussion on reason, deductive methods and a positivistic approach instead? - or at least rely on researchers who have already done the hard work for us already. It utterly shocks me that so many of you seem to fall for the "whatever the TV says" instead of putting some trust into experts on this field. Credits to Crocio a couple of posts above for trying to raise the bar a little.

Read the assesment report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It's no more than ~20 pages, and formulated for policymakers (statistics and arguments are presented in accessible ways). This panel does - on the contrary to most mainstream media in general and commercials in particular - not work to promote any special interest (e.g. oil companies or Greenpeace). It's a UN report, and the only interest it represents is the international society and human kind - unless of course you wish to question the legitimacy of the whole of UN an sich. More on the IPCC here.

As climate changes are real and as they are with utmost certainty also the result of our (especially in the US and EU) actions, it really would be much more relevant to discuss: How to adapt to climate changes? -both locally, regionally and globally; How can we prevent it from accelerating beyon a irreversible tipping point with terrible consequences?; How should historical responsibilities be handled in the multilateral agreement?; Is it ok just to ignore the consequences of climate change in Third World countries unable to adjust to the changes?; What should the role of the UN and other relevant organizations (including economic, security, environmental, industrial) be in all this?; What can we individually do to change the course?; Should we care at all?

Point being: Do not focus on whether it is real or not - this part of the discussion on climate change really should have been closed already. More relevant: What to do next?
